Music Programs

The music program at St. Clement's is exemplary, comprising choirs, harpsichord, organ, and various instruments enhancing worship and parish life.

There are three choirs at St. Clement's:
Junior Youth Choir (grades 3-6) meets on Wednesday afternoons and sings each Sunday throughout the school year. It also supports special programs put on by the Church School.
Senior Youth Choir (grades 7-12) meets on Sundays after the 10am service and sings each Sunday through the school year.
Both youth choirs participate in special productions that are given nearly every year. These productions include operas and musical revues.
The Adult Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings and sings throughout the summer, as well as during the school year. A highlight of the choir program is the weekend retreat each autumn at Bishop's Ranch near Healdsburg in the Russian River Valley.

Linda and Victor Gavenda share in the coaching of our choirs while creating a celebration of joyful sound every week. They inspire the entire congregation with thoughtful and poignant musical pieces. Additionally, Linda supervises the musical offerings for weddings and memorials.

A small instrumental ensemble coached by David Morris, the Cappella Clementina, rehearses occasionally and prepares music for the Christmas and Easter services. Professional musicians are sometimes hired, but this group is primarily from the church membership.
